1. About this platform

atletiksey.com ("the Platform") is the official results and information system for Seychelles National Schools Athletics Championships. It is operated by the Ministry of Education and Human Resource Development, Republic of Seychelles ("the Ministry", "we", "us").

The Platform provides public access to live and historical competition results, athlete profiles, and school standings. A restricted administration area is available only to authorised officials appointed by the Ministry.

2. Acceptance of terms

By accessing any part of this Platform you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please stop using the Platform immediately.

By continuing to use this Platform, you consent to the automatic collection of your IP address, browser information (user agent), and the pages you visit, as described in our Privacy Policy. If you are an authorised official and log in, a session cookie will be placed on your device to maintain your session. Use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of these practices.

We may revise these terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

3. Who may use this platform

General public

Anyone may access the public pages of this Platform (results, standings, athlete profiles, gallery) for personal, educational, or journalistic purposes, subject to these terms.

Administrators and officials

The administration area is restricted to individuals who have been expressly authorised by the Ministry. Accounts are issued personally and are non-transferable. You must keep your credentials confidential and notify us immediately at info@eduhq.edu.sc if you believe your account has been compromised.

Age

The Platform is intended for general audiences. Administrative accounts may only be held by individuals aged 18 or over.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or in a way that violates any applicable law or regulation.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Platform, including the administration area.
• Use automated tools (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to extract data at a rate that disrupts the service or impairs performance for other users.
• Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation.
• Submit false or misleading competition data.
• Attempt to interfere with, disable, or damage the Platform's infrastructure.
• Use personal data obtained from the Platform to harass, stalk, or harm any individual.
• Reproduce, sell, or commercially exploit competition data without prior written permission from the Ministry.

5. Accuracy of results

Competition results are entered by authorised officials at the time of the event. We take reasonable care to ensure accuracy, but results may be subject to official protests, corrections, or disqualifications. Published results reflect the official record at the time of publication.

If you believe a result is incorrect, please contact your school's athletics coordinator or write to us at info@eduhq.edu.sc. We do not guarantee that corrections will be made.

6. Intellectual property

The Platform's design, code, graphics, and non-result content are the property of the Ministry or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Competition results (names, positions, times, distances) are factual data forming part of the official public record. You may reproduce them for personal, educational, or news-reporting purposes provided you attribute the source as "atletiksey.com — Seychelles National Schools Athletics Championships".

Commercial use of any Platform content requires prior written authorisation from the Ministry.

7. Privacy and data protection

Your use of this Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what information we collect and how it is used. The Privacy Policy is incorporated into these Terms of Use by reference.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of fitness for a particular purpose, uninterrupted availability, or freedom from errors.

We do not warrant that the Platform will be error-free, continuously available, or that results will be accurate at all times. Service may be interrupted for maintenance, upgrades, or unforeseen circumstances. That said, we make every reasonable effort to keep the Platform running reliably and to resolve issues promptly when they arise.

Important notice regarding origin of this platform: atletik2.0 was originally developed as a student hackathon project and was subsequently selected for live deployment by the Ministry of Education. It was not commissioned or purpose-built as a regulated public service. Accordingly, the development team, the Ministry of Education and Human Resource Development, and the Department of Information Communications Technology (DICT) make no binding commitments regarding the Platform's fitness, reliability, or continued operation, and none of these parties accept any liability arising from its use.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Seychelles law, none of the following parties shall be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Platform:

• The development team (Gabriel Suzette, Denis Hoareau, Adrien Hoareau) and any individual contributors;
• The Ministry of Education and Human Resource Development, Republic of Seychelles, its employees, officers, and agents;
• The Department of Information Communications Technology (DICT), Seychelles.

This includes but is not limited to loss arising from reliance on results, standings, or any other content displayed, data loss, service interruption, or security incidents.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by Seychelles law.

10. External links

The Platform may contain links to external websites. These are provided for convenience only. The Ministry has no control over external sites and accepts no responsibility for their content, privacy practices, or availability.

11. Suspension and termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the Platform, or to any administrative account, at any time and without notice, if we believe these terms have been violated or if required for security or legal reasons.

12. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms of Use are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Seychelles. Any dispute arising from or related to the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Seychelles.
